Holy Bagels

Our story

When a coffee-loving baker meets a bagel lover

Holy Bagels was born from Jacques' passion — a Cameroonian baker who grew up among coffee plantations — and his meeting with Melodie, an American in love with New York-style bagels.

It all started on a bike in 2015. Jacques, behind the roast and the espresso machine, and Melodie, shaping bagels by hand, rode through the streets of Brussels on their food bike, sharing their duo with curious passers-by.

Welcomed warmly by the neighbourhood, they opened a permanent café at 62 Rue Armand Campenhout, just steps from Avenue Louise, to root themselves in Brussels' brunch culture.

As demand grew, they went on to open a second location on Rue Montoyer, right in the European Quarter — a new space to welcome even more bagel lovers.
